# What’s new in go-ipfs 0.8.0?

The latest release from the IPFS protocol is here, and with it, go-ipfs 0.8.0 brings the ability to ask remote services to pin data for you! Other features include remote MFS pinning, faster pinning, and help for DNSLink names on https:// subdomains.
